Alexander Aguilar-Larios Obituary,  – The man who was shot and killed by Los Angeles police officers after allegedly fleeing a traffic stop in Pacoima has been identified as Alexander Aguilar-Larios, 21, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Aguilar-Larios was shot by officers on Tuesday night following a foot pursuit. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. when police stopped a BMW sedan for a traffic violation in the area of Lehigh Avenue and Carl Street. Aguilar-Larios, who was the passenger, immediately exited the vehicle and ran through a housing development. He was armed with a handgun, according to the police. Officers chased after him and Aguilar-Larios stumbled to the ground at some point.

He managed to get back on his feet while still holding his firearm and attempted to flee again, but was fatally struck by gunfire. Aguilar-Larios was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. No officers or members of the public were injured in the incident. The details leading up to the shooting are still limited, and the LAPD has not disclosed the number of shots fired or the number of officers involved. However, a 9 mm pistol was recovered at the scene. The investigation is ongoing, and the LAPD is urging anyone with information about the whereabouts of the driver of the BMW to come forward.
