Anthony Zahorovsky Obituary, – An off-duty deputy from the Broward Sheriff’s Office lost his life in a motorcycle accident that occurred on Thursday in Sunrise. Pine Island Road, just north of Northwest 44th Street, was covered in car parts and debris following the tragic collision that resulted in two injuries and one fatality.

The incident occurred around 1 p.m. when witnesses reported that the motorcyclist collided with a car that was attempting to turn onto Springtree Lakes Drive. The two occupants of the car, a mother and her adult daughter, were promptly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of their injuries. Unfortunately, the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries despite the efforts of first responders to save him.

The victim was identified as 27-year-old Anthony Zahorovsky, a deputy at the Broward Sheriff’s Office, by his family members. According to relatives, Zahorovsky was a devoted father to a young boy and was expecting his second child with his wife.

Catherine Ruiz, the victim’s cousin, described him as family-oriented and a caring father who was always there for his loved ones. She mentioned that they had plans to spend time together on the Fourth of July, but tragically, he lost his life in the accident. Reports suggest that there may be a police escort accompanying Zahorovsky’s body to the medical examiner’s office.
