Audelio Solorio,Deveon Keyshawn Smith Obituary – An 18-year-old from Riverside County was taken into custody in connection with the deaths of two men in Blythe, as per deputies. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office released a statement mentioning that the Blythe Police Department sought help from deputies after discovering two crime scenes linked to the double homicide that took place on Monday at 8:12 p.m.

The first scene was at the 500 block of East Avenue A, where the victims were located in a business parking lot, and another crime scene was found nearby at the 900 block of East Avenue B. Following the shooting, the area was closed off to both pedestrian and vehicular traffic, as stated by RSO. The victims, identified as Blythe residents Audelio Solorio, 45, and Deveon Keyshawn Smith, 27, were pronounced dead at the scene by deputies.

Investigators from RSO’s Colorado River Station and the Central Homicide unit took over the case and swiftly identified the suspect as 18-year-old Jose Angel Manjarrez, also from Blythe.

Manjarrez was apprehended and placed in the Blythe Jail on two charges of first-degree murder. Records from the inmate search show that he is being detained on a $1 million bail. His initial court appearance is set for Thursday at 8 a.m. at the Blythe Court.
