According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, speeding was the leading cause of fatal accidents in 2018, followed by factors such as alcohol, drugs, or medication influence; failure to maintain the proper lane; failure to yield the right of way; and distracted driving.

While the cause and liability of this collision are being examined, Candice Bond, a skilled accident attorney and Managing Partner of Bond Legal, emphasized the importance of an independent investigation conducted by an experienced attorney.

“In addition to the thorough work of law enforcement, an attorney can re-interview key witnesses, analyze any surveillance footage from the crash scene, and obtain phone and texting records of the responsible party,” stated Bond, a national analyst for The Legal Advocate.

During the ongoing investigation, the family members of the victims who tragically lost their lives in this collision may have grounds for a wrongful death claim. These family members can seek compensation for the loss of companionship, pain and suffering, and emotional distress resulting from this catastrophic accident.

“We recognize that the loss of a loved one is not only a profound emotional tragedy but also a financial burden,” said Stefano Formica, of counsel with Bond Legal. “If you have experienced the loss of a loved one due to someone else’s negligence, it is crucial to consult an attorney who specializes in wrongful death cases. They can guide you through the legal process and help you seek the justice and compensation you deserve.”
