David Roy Obituary, New Hampshire motorcyclist killed in Bethel crash

David Roy Obituary,  – The Oxford County Sheriff’s Office reported that a motorcyclist from New Hampshire lost his life in a collision in Bethel on Saturday evening when a car unexpectedly emerged in front of him. Deputies from the sheriff’s office, along with the Bethel Rescue and Fire Departments, and the Greenwood Fire Department, rushed to the scene on Walkers Mill Road following a fatal crash involving a 2014 Honda CTX 700 motorcycle and a 2014 Toyota Prius at approximately 5 p.m., as stated in a press release by the sheriff’s department.

Initial findings from the investigation indicated that the motorcycle was heading north on Walkers Mill Road when the Prius exited a driveway and entered the motorcycle’s path, leading to the tragic accident. The motorcyclist, identified as 61-year-old David Roy from Berlin, New Hampshire, was fatally injured in the collision. According to the sheriff’s office, Roy was riding alone at the time of the incident. The driver of the Toyota Prius, 43-year-old Arin Palmer from Hoover, Alabama, emerged unharmed from the crash and was also alone in the vehicle, as confirmed by the sheriff’s office.

Palmer was taken into custody and charged with OUI resulting in death and manslaughter before being transported to the Oxford County Jail. Authorities have announced that the road will remain closed as the investigation continues.
