Heather McGarvey Obituary, Motorcyclist killed in wrong-way I-40 crash identified

Heather McGarvey Obituary,  – The Tennessee Highway Patrol has issued an initial report regarding a collision that took place on Wednesday night involving a driver going the wrong way on I-40, resulting in the tragic death of a motorcyclist from Tennessee.

The victim has been identified as Heather McGarvey, aged 61, who was operating a 2013 Harley Davidson motorcycle. The driver of a 2013 Ford F150 pickup truck involved in the incident has been identified as Daniel L. Miller, aged 45, also from Tennessee. Miller has been taken into custody at the Cumberland County Justice Center and is facing charges of vehicular homicide, with a bond set at $150,000.

The collision occurred at the 336.8 mile marker on I-40 around 8 p.m. on Wednesday. According to the preliminary report, Miller was driving his pickup truck in the westbound lane of traffic. McGarvey was traveling east when the pickup truck collided head-on with the motorcycle. Both vehicles came to a stop on the shoulder or side of the road, as indicated in the report.
