Isya Stanley Obituary, 17-year-old victim identified in fatal shooting at Fairmount Park

Isya Stanley Obituary,  – A 17-year-old girl tragically lost her life and four other juveniles were injured during an unexpected gathering in Fairmount Park on Saturday night. The incident began with a spontaneous party near 29th and Ridge, which was dispersed by the police just before 11 p.m. Subsequently, a large group of approximately 100 kids and young adults moved to an area near North 33rd Street in the park.

Gunshots were heard by nearby police officers, resulting in five juveniles, three boys, and two girls being struck by gunfire. Sadly, the 17-year-old girl, identified as Isya Stanley by her parents, was fatally wounded. A vigil was held in West Philadelphia to remember Isya, who was affectionately known as “Cece” by her family. Isya’s parents, Iself and Regina Jones Stanley, expressed their devastation and appealed to the person responsible for their daughter’s death to come forward.

The other injured juveniles were taken to Temple University Hospital, with three being transported by police or medics and two arriving on their own. Isya passed away shortly after her arrival at the hospital, around 11:15 p.m. The remaining victims, aged between 14 and 18, were reported to be in stable condition. The crime scene was extensive, and investigators found 11 spent shell casings, although the motive behind the violence remains unknown.
