Mark David Langille Obituary, Pedestrian dies after being struck by minivan in Ashland

Mark David Langille Obituary, – The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) is currently looking into a tragic motor vehicle collision that occurred in Ashland. At approximately 9:35 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, a pedestrian was hit in the 500 block of South Valley View Road.

The minivan belonging to the suspect was still present at the scene when Emergency Communications of Southern Oregon (ECSO) dispatch received the call. Responding to the incident were JCSO deputies, officers from the Ashland Police Department, and an Ashland Fire ambulance.

The victim, identified as 50-year-old Mark David Langille from New Mexico, was taken to a hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. The Jackson County Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction (STAR) Team and JCSO Medical Examiner detectives were called in to provide assistance with the investigation.

Possible charges against the minivan driver are pending as the investigation progresses, including the examination of toxicology reports and a mechanical inspection of the vehicle. As of now, no additional information is available.
