Olivia Flores Obituary – The prosecutor announced on Tuesday that a Minnesota state trooper is facing charges for a crash that resulted in the death of a teenager and injuries to five others. Trooper Shane Roper, 32, has been charged with second-degree manslaughter, criminal vehicular homicide, and other counts.

The accident occurred on May 18 in Rochester, where Roper was driving without his emergency lights or siren activated and reached a speed of 83 mph in a 40 mph zone. The collision involved multiple vehicles and resulted in the death of 18-year-old Olivia Flores and serious injuries to five others. Roper was attempting to catch a “traffic violator” at the time of the crash. The State Patrol has expressed condolences to the victims and their families and stated that Roper is on paid leave while the case is ongoing.
