Shimmie Miller Obituary, – 21 News has reported that the individual discovered deceased in Youngstown’s third homicide within four days was a well-known anti-violence advocate in the Valley. The man, known as “Shimmie” Miller, was found deceased in a vehicle close to the intersection of Steel Street and Salt Springs Road.

Miller, a recognized activist and mentor in the Valley, dedicated himself to altering the perspectives of young individuals in the Valley to reduce violence in the region. Although Miller had faced legal issues in the past, he managed to transform his life and chose to collaborate with the city as a mentor to guide the youth away from the path of violence. This marks Youngstown’s second homicide in two days and the third since Sunday.

On Tuesday night, a 19-year-old man was discovered in a driveway in the 500 block of E Judson Avenue with a gunshot wound. He passed away at the hospital during the night. Law enforcement apprehended a 17-year-old suspect in connection to that incident. On Sunday night, 131 gunshots were heard at the intersection of Glenwood and Sherwood Avenues. Authorities investigating the shooting found an SUV with a victim inside. The victim of Sunday’s shooting has been identified as 18-year-old Te’nya McKinley, who law enforcement states was an innocent bystander.
