Her family believes that her death was due to the heat, as she felt fatigued while working for the U.S. Postal Service on a hot day. Johnson, a resident of Sanford, had been employed by the postal service for over two decades. Her children are still mourning and trying to come to terms with the sudden loss they experienced on June 6. Sa’ni Johnson, her daughter, expressed that she associated her mother with their community, as she felt she only needed her.
