Aaron Pelletier Obituary, Death; – A driver who fled the scene struck and killed a Connecticut State Trooper on Thursday afternoon while he was on duty on Interstate 84, as reported by state police.

The deceased, State Trooper First Class Aaron Pelletier, had served as a member of the Connecticut State Police for nine years and was part of the 125th Training Troop. Pelletier, who was a K-9 handler, completed his training at CSP’s K-9 Academy as a member of the 223rd Patrol Dog Class in December 2021. His loyal companion was named Roso, according to NBC Connecticut.

Connecticut State Trooper First Class Aaron Pelletier was a nine-year veteran of the Connecticut State Police.

Connecticut state police expressed their deep appreciation for TFC Pelletier’s unwavering dedication, pride, and professionalism in serving the citizens of the state. They emphasized that his sacrifice will always be remembered. TFC Pelletier is survived by his wife Dominique and their sons Troy and Zachary, as confirmed by state police and Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz. State police have apprehended the suspect and taken them into custody.
