Gavin Byrd Obituary, 24-year-old man killed in Floyd County crash identified
Gavin Byrd Obituary – The individual who lost his life in a Floyd County, Indiana collision on Sunday has been identified as Gavin Byrd, a 24-year-old resident of New Albany. The New Albany Police Department confirmed that Byrd passed away at the scene of the accident on Klerner Lane in the 3700 block.
Responding to reports of a severe crash shortly before 8 p.m., NAPD discovered a blue SUV overturned upon arrival. Byrd, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead as a result of the collision. Following an examination, authorities concluded that the SUV was heading northbound before veering off the road and colliding with mailboxes and foliage. While excessive speed is believed to have played a role in the incident, the investigation into the exact cause is ongoing.
