Adrita Binte Mosharraf Obituary – A residential quarter at Dhaka University (DU) became the tragic scene where a first-year student was found hanging. The deceased, identified as Adrita Binte Mosharraf, was a 21-year-old student in the Marketing Department at DU. Adrita was the daughter of Prof Mosharraf Hossain, a teacher in the Management Department at Dhaka University.
According to the family’s account, during sehri at approximately 4:30 am on Sunday, Adrita’s father approached her room and called out to her multiple times. With no response from inside, he decided to break open the door, only to discover Adrita hanging from a ceiling fan. Upon receiving the information, the authorities at Shahbag Police Station swiftly arrived at the scene and immediately transported Adrita to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). Tragically, the doctors on duty at DMCH pronounced her deceased. The body of Adrita was then taken to the hospital morgue, where it was kept for further proceedings.
