Angel Martinez-Velez Obituary, Man, 25, killed in shooting at Allentown park identified
Angel Martinez-Velez Obituary – The 25-year-old Allentown man who was killed at a city park on Saturday evening has been identified by Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio as Angel Martinez-Velez. Martinez-Velez was fatally shot around 6:30 p.m. at Fountain Park, according to Mayor Matt Tuerk, who described the incident as a “terrible and preventable act of violence.” The victim was declared dead at approximately 7:15 p.m.
Buglio determined the cause of death to be multiple gunshot wounds, ruling it as a homicide. Further details regarding the homicide were not immediately provided on Monday morning. The Allentown police department and the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office are currently conducting an investigation.
