Anthony Lewis Obituary, Man killed in deadly Jacksonville hookah lounge shooting identified
Anthony Lewis Obituary – The victim in the fatal shooting at the hookah lounge on the Westside of Jacksonville has been identified as Anthony Lewis, a 21-year-old man. According to witnesses, Lewis was taken to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) responded to the incident at around 1:10 a.m. on Monday. Multiple shots were fired during a dispute in the parking lot, which had over 100 people present at the time. The JSO is currently investigating the relationship between the individuals involved and the reason for the dispute. Sergeant Highfill of the JSO confirmed that security guards were present during the incident but were not involved and did not return fire.
The suspect, described as a Black man wearing all black clothing, has been identified by the sheriff’s office. In response to the tragedy, the owner of the hookah lounge has decided to close down the establishment. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact the JSO’s non-emergency number or Crime Stoppers to provide anonymous tips.
