Barry Mitchell Obituary, Man killed in hit-and-run in Prince George’s County identified
Barry Mitchell Obituary – The Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) reported that a Laurel resident lost his life in a hit-and-run incident on Sunday. PGPD mentioned that officers were dispatched to the 9000 block of Contee Road due to a pedestrian accident at approximately 8:10 p.m. A man was found injured on the road and was subsequently transported to the hospital, where he passed away.
The victim was identified as Barry Mitchell, a 55-year-old from Laurel. According to the police, the vehicle responsible for the incident was heading eastbound on Contee Road when it struck Mitchell. The driver fled the scene following the collision. Authorities are urging anyone with relevant information to contact the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit at 301-731-4422.
