Beverly Wilkins Obituary, Death;  – A 59-year-old woman was fatally shot while sitting in a vehicle outside her mother’s residence in Compton on Monday night. The incident occurred shortly before 11 p.m. in the 700 block of South Holly Avenue, and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim, identified as Beverly Wilkins by her mother Rosie Wilkins, was inside her boyfriend’s car when shots were fired from a passing vehicle. The sheriff’s department has been contacted for further details, and as of early Tuesday, no arrests have been made.
