Bryson Cochran Obituary – A shooting incident at an after-party following a prom resulted in the tragic death of a teenage boy. Bryson Cochran, a 17-year-old senior at Central High School in Columbus, Georgia, was the victim of this unfortunate incident. According to Rodger Suggs, a resident of the neighborhood, the after-party was attended by numerous teenagers.

Suggs recounted the terrifying moment when gunfire suddenly erupted, estimating that around a hundred shots were fired. Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan confirmed that approximately 100 people were present at the party. The authorities were alerted at 12:56 a.m. about the shooting, which was classified as a signal 16, indicating a fatality. Before the shooting, the police had responded to a noise complaint at the party. Bryan revealed that the shooting occurred merely five minutes after the arrival of law enforcement. He described it as a random act of violence, with multiple rounds being discharged.

One neighbor mentioned observing the gathering of people but decided to retire for the night. However, the sound of gunshots abruptly awakened him. Upon investigating, he discovered a young man lying on the road. The neighbor expressed shock at the swiftness of the incident. Bryan emphasized that Bryson was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. The teenager had been looking forward to celebrating his graduation with friends. The police are currently engaged in efforts to identify a suspect involved in the shooting.
