Caroline Meister Obituary, Missing California hiker found dead at bottom of waterfall

Caroline Meister Obituary – The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Caroline Meister’s body was discovered at the base of a waterfall in California. Nieto mentioned that there were no indications of foul play and that Meister’s parents, John and Jean Meister, expressed their gratitude towards the officials and volunteers involved in the search for their daughter.

An autopsy is scheduled to determine the cause of Meister’s death, as stated by Nieto. Meister had left the Zen Center at Tassajara in the Ventana Wilderness for a hike on March 18 at 10 a.m. When she did not return home that evening, she was reported missing. Following an extensive search involving over 100 officers from 13 different agencies, search and rescue teams located her body at the base of the waterfall after four days. Nieto conveyed the deepest condolences of the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office to Caroline Meister’s family.
