Cearmease Evans,Chaise Franklin Obituary – Two individuals hailing from Chicago lost their lives following a severe collision on Sunday in Johnson County, Indiana, located just south of Indianapolis.

The Indiana State Police reported that the incident involved a single vehicle, resulting in two fatalities on I-65 northbound at the 96-mile marker in Greenwood, which is six miles north of the Franklin Exit. Upon their arrival at the scene, law enforcement discovered two unresponsive females, as well as a conscious and alert individual who was driving the vehicle. The driver was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. The deceased females have been identified as 52-year-old Cearmease J. Evans and 17-year-old Chaise Franklin, both from Chicago, by the Johnson County Coroner’s Office.

The cause of death was determined to be multiple traumatic injuries sustained from the crash impact. Initial reports indicated that a gold 2011 Jeep veered off the road into a ditch on the right side before colliding with several trees on the passenger side. Evans was seated in the front passenger seat, while Franklin was in the rear passenger seat. Authorities are still investigating the exact circumstances that led to the Jeep leaving the road. This remains an active investigation.
