Chad C. Bauer Obituary, Death; Man, 55, killed in motorcycle crash identified

Chad C. Bauer Obituary, Death;  – Authorities have identified the person killed in a crash Saturday afternoon six miles north of Montrose. The South Dakota Department of Public Safety says that a Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling southbound on Valley Road. The driver stopped at a stop sign and accelerated quickly away and continued to accelerate, losing control going into a curve, and entered the west ditch. The motorcycle rolled several times throwing the driver off. 55-year-old Chad C. Bauer died from injuries sustained in the crash. The South Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
