Daniel Steffens Obituary – Daniel Steffens, a 34-year-old man, has been identified by the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office as the individual who tragically lost his life in a collision in Oakdale early Saturday morning. The incident occurred on Yosemite Avenue, just north of Wakefield Drive, shortly before 1:40 a.m.

According to the preliminary investigation conducted by the California Highway Patrol, Steffens was driving a 2012 Audi sedan in the southbound “slow lane” of South Yosemite when he suddenly veered left into the northbound lanes. He then proceeded to collide with a Pacific Gas & Electric pole after driving onto the raised concrete curb.

Steffens was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident, as stated in a news release by the CHP. The release does not provide any information regarding the involvement of drugs or alcohol in the crash, nor does it mention the speed at which Steffens was traveling or any attempts made to brake.

Tragically, Steffens was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision. A GoFundMe page has been set up in his name, identifying him as Daniel Wayne Steffens Jr. The page also mentions that he is survived by his wife and three children.
