David Lee Weiner Obituary – El Cerrito authorities have named the individuals involved in a fatal pursuit on I-580 near the Bay Bridge last week as Patrick Scheckells, 34, from Oakland, and Andre Alberty, 56, from San Francisco. The pursuit began after a burglary at a tobacco shop in San Pablo, with law enforcement officers initiating the chase of the suspect’s pickup truck.

Despite calling off the pursuit on eastbound I-80, the suspects made a U-turn and proceeded to drive in the wrong direction on westbound I-580, resulting in a collision that claimed the life of David Lee Weiner, 57. Both individuals are now facing multiple federal charges.
