Dr. Tomas Garza Obituary – The Pawnee County Sheriff’s Office and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation are currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred over the weekend in Pawnee County. Tragically, the victim has been identified as a Larned doctor. Law enforcement has apprehended a suspect in connection with the case, which is being treated as a homicide.
According to a news release from the KBI, the incident took place around 5 p.m. on Saturday. Michael Reynolds, a 67-year-old resident of Larned, allegedly shot Dr. Tomas Garza, aged 52, multiple times during an argument. The shooting occurred at a location on Kansas Highway 19 South, situated in the rural area of Pawnee County. Regrettably, Garza succumbed to his injuries and passed away at a nearby hospital.
Reynolds was immediately taken into custody at the scene and has been charged with second-degree murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He is currently being held at the Pawnee County Jail, awaiting formal charges as stated by the KBI.
