Haneff White Obituary, Death; Coroner identifies Woodvale shooting victim

Haneff White Obituary, Death;  – Officials identified the deceased man in Johnstown’s Woodvale section as Haneff White, 25, of Johnstown. The autopsy conducted by Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees confirmed that White died instantly from a single gunshot wound to the head. It was revealed that White was inside a vehicle when the incident occurred.

White was one of three individuals shot that morning, with at least two individuals being transported to the hospital by another person. One of the injured individuals remained in critical condition, while the other was recovering from less severe injuries. The autopsy results indicated that White was already deceased when firefighters found the vehicle on Maple Avenue in Woodvale and provided assistance. The shooting was reported near a residence on Plum Street, with shell casings discovered on the road.

The casings were gathered as evidence, and the vehicle White was in was also taken as evidence. As of Wednesday afternoon, no charges had been filed in connection with the shooting. The investigation is ongoing, with Johnstown police, Cambria County detectives, and the Cambria County District Attorney’s Office working together and seeking assistance from the state Office of Attorney General.
