Horacio Ayala-Penaloza Obituary – The Kern County Coroner’s Office has identified the man who tragically lost his life after being struck by a train in Wasco in late March. The incident occurred on March 22 at approximately 8 a.m.

The deceased individual has been identified as Horacio Ayala-Penaloza, a 48-year-old resident of Wasco. Ayala-Penaloza was struck by the train in the 700 block of G Street and unfortunately succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Following the incident, witnesses reported seeing a 27-year-old man removing Ayala-Penaloza’s leg from the scene. Shockingly, this individual was then observed waving the severed leg and allegedly consuming it, as captured in a video recorded by a viewer.

The man responsible for this disturbing act, Resendo Tellez, was subsequently sentenced to a year in jail in early May.
