Hyo Sang Obituary, Death; – Authorities have confirmed the identity of the pedestrian who tragically lost her life after being hit by a vehicle in Edgewater over the weekend. Hyo Sang, 87, a resident of Edgewater, was discovered by law enforcement beneath the vehicle responsible for the collision, although she was not trapped.
The incident occurred on Dempsey Avenue around 12:05 p.m., prompting a swift response from police officers. Despite efforts to rescue the victim, she was ultimately transported to Hackensack University Medical Center Emergency Department Trauma Unit, where she later passed away. The driver of the vehicle involved, a 58-year-old man operating a 2016 Ford Escape XLT, has not been arrested as the investigation remains ongoing.
