Jacob Gould Obituary – The Tigard Police Department reported that a motorcyclist tragically lost their life in Tigard after attempting to overtake a truck and subsequently crashing on Friday evening.
At approximately 9:45 p.m. on Friday, officers from the TPD responded to a collision on southwest Roy Rogers Road near southwest Perth. Based on their preliminary investigation, the TPD determined that the motorcyclist, identified as 27-year-old Jacob Gould from Aloha, was traveling north on Roy Rogers when he attempted to pass a truck that was also heading north.
Unfortunately, Gould collided with a center median and suffered a crash. Despite the efforts of a witness, who happened to be a nurse and attempted to administer CPR, Gould succumbed to his injuries at the scene, as confirmed by the TPD. Investigators have concluded that the speed at which the motorcycle was traveling played a significant role in the occurrence of the crash.
