James Wolfe II Obituary – Mei Wolfe, aged 48, appeared in court for the first time early Saturday morning after being accused of fatally shooting her nephew during a dispute in northwest Harris County. The incident occurred at her residence on Thursday night, resulting in a murder charge against her. Mei Wolfe is the spouse of Harris County Justice of the Peace Bob Wolfe.

The tragic event took place on Tesino River Circle before 9:30 p.m. According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Mei Wolfe’s nephew, a recent college graduate, had been staying with her following a period of travel. An argument ensued between the two when Mei felt that her nephew had overstayed his welcome. Subsequently, Mei retrieved a firearm and fired a shot during the altercation. Despite her husband’s efforts to intervene and disarm her, the nephew, identified as 40-year-old James Wolfe II, lost his life. Mei Wolfe’s bond was set at $100,000, with conditions that she must not possess firearms and surrender her passport upon release. Judge Bob Wolfe declined to comment when contacted by ABC13 on Friday.
