Jamie Felix Obituary, Teacher killed by estranged husband in apparent murder-suicide

Jamie Felix Obituary – A teacher from Port St. Lucie was tragically killed by her estranged husband in West Palm Beach on Friday, before he took his own life, as reported by the police. Jamie Felix, aged 45, was discovered fatally shot in the parking lot of a motel, while her estranged husband, Ray Felix, aged 60, was found dead outside a rental car facility, according to authorities.

The Port St. Lucie police, in collaboration with the West Palm Beach Police, are currently investigating the incident. The victim, a 45-year-old teacher, was employed at Manatee Academy K-8 School. Earlier that Friday, Jamie’s colleagues alerted the Port St. Lucie Police after receiving a suspicious email from her. Detectives later confirmed that Ray Felix had coerced her into sending the email.

Allegedly, Ray Felix had their two children, aged 10 and 17, follow them in a rental vehicle while he confronted his wife at gunpoint regarding their divorce, as stated by the police. Following the fatal shooting of Jamie Felix, he abandoned the children with her and proceeded to a rental facility where he took his own life, the police reported. Ray Felix succumbed to his injuries at the hospital later on.
