Javier Over-Aguilar Obituary, Man shot in the head in NW Indiana gas station ID’d

Javier Over-Aguilar Obituary – The Lake County Coroner’s Office has identified the man who was shot and killed inside a gas station in East Chicago. Upon arrival at the block of Indianapolis Boulevard on 145th Street, officers discovered a man with gunshot wounds to the head and in an “unresponsive” state.

The deceased individual has been named as 49-year-old Javier Over-Aguilar. Another victim was located in the vicinity and has been taken to a nearby hospital, where they are expected to recover. The Lake County Prosecutor’s Homicide Task Force and Lake County Sheriff’s Crime Scene Unit are currently investigating the incident. As of now, no suspects have been taken into custody.
