Javodrick Gordon Obituary, Death; – According to court documents obtained by FOX13, a 17-year-old boy named Montrell Kinds from Memphis has been charged with first-degree murder. He was arrested a day after the incident when he was found in the deceased man’s car. The victim, identified as Javodrick Gordon, did not have his age released.

The Memphis Police Department (MPD) responded to a shooting on Cloister Street and discovered the man dead from gunshot wounds to the head and chest. Investigators believe that Gordon may have been asleep at the time of his death, as there were no signs of a struggle or forced entry. Lisa Mull, a youth advocate in the community, expressed concern about the cycle of violence in the neighborhood. Gordon had not been heard from for at least a day before his cousin found him dead on the bed with gunshot wounds. Two spent casings were found in the bedroom.

The investigators also discovered that Gordon’s recently purchased 2017 Infiniti QX80 was missing from his home. The car, equipped with a GPS tracker, was eventually found stuck on Shelby Drive. The driver, identified as Kinds, was apprehended at a home on Baywind Cove. Kinds later confessed to investigators that he had called Gordon for a place to stay, but they ended up fighting. Kinds claimed to have found a gun under Gordon’s pillow and shot him before taking his rifle and car and leaving the scene.
