Jean Baptiste Obituary, 36-year-old Chelsea woman identified as victim in fatal pedestrian crash

Jean Baptiste Obituary – On Saturday, the police identified the woman who tragically lost her life on Friday night in Chelsea as 36-year-old Jean Baptiste. Baptiste, a resident of Chelsea, was struck by a vehicle near 240 2nd St., opposite the Market Basket supermarket. The police were alerted to the incident shortly before 7:15 p.m. and promptly arrived at the scene. Despite their efforts to provide aid, Baptiste succumbed to her injuries at the crash site. The driver involved in the incident, whose identity has not been disclosed, remained at the scene and is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation conducted by both Chelsea police and State Police.
