Jordis Lee Lewis,Jackson Riley Tester Obituary – Two adolescents lost their lives in a head-on collision in Blue Earth County over the weekend. The Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office reported that the incident occurred shortly before 1 p.m. on Saturday on County Road 90 near Indian Lake Road in Mankato Township. A Ford Fusion traveling westbound on the county road collided with an eastbound Audi A5.
The driver of the Ford, 18-year-old Jordis Lee Lewis from Lake Crystal, and the 17-year-old passenger Jackson Riley Tester from Mankato, were both declared deceased at the scene.
Authorities mentioned that the Audi’s driver, a 56-year-old man from Madison Lake, and his 13-year-old daughter sustained “serious but non-life-threatening injuries.” Based on a preliminary investigation, it is believed that Lewis may have been trying to overtake other westbound vehicles when the collision occurred, as per authorities. The investigation is ongoing as of Monday.
