Josai Guy Obituary – The New York Police Department’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information stated that a 12-year-old boy has been accused of manslaughter and homicide in connection with the fatal shooting of his teenage cousin in Brooklyn. The incident occurred on Sunday when authorities received a call at 10:24 a.m. reporting a shooting. Although the police did not officially confirm the relationship between the victim and the shooter, WNBC and WPIX indicated that they are cousins.
According to WNBC, the boys were playing with a gun when the tragic incident took place. In addition to the charges of manslaughter and homicide, the 12-year-old suspect is also facing a weapons charge. The victim, identified as Josai Guy, was found unconscious with a gunshot wound to the chest and was taken to Brookdale University Hospital by EMS, where he was pronounced dead. The neighbors informed WNBC that Josai was a well-behaved child who frequently played with his friends at basketball courts in the vicinity.
