Joseph Seymour Obituary – The Hampden District Attorney’s Office has identified the man who was fatally stabbed in West Springfield last week. Joseph Seymour, a 50-year-old resident of West Springfield, was attacked on Saturday, May 25, at around 10 o’clock at night near Amostown Road and Kings Highway.
Upon arrival, officers found Seymour unresponsive and he was subsequently taken to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after. The Hampden DA’s Office officially confirmed Seymour’s identity on Thursday. As of now, no arrests or charges have been announced in connection with this case. However, Sgt. Joe LaFrance of the West Springfield Police Department stated that this was not a random act of violence.
The investigation is currently being conducted by the West Springfield Police Department, the MA State Police, and the Hampden District Attorney’s Office Murder Unit.
