Larry J. Bushnell Obituary, Lake Charles man killed in hit and run identified, suspect wanted
Larry J. Bushnell Obituary – The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is currently in pursuit of a suspect following the identification of a body discovered in the vicinity of Goodman Road and Opelousas Street as the victim of a hit and run incident.
According to Spokeswoman Kayla Vincent, deputies came across various car parts at the scene and have reason to believe that the vehicle responsible for the death of Larry J. Bushnell, 64, from Lake Charles, is a black 2016 – 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander. Residents are urged to keep an eye out for this vehicle, which will display noticeable damage to the front passenger side headlight and grill area. Additionally, it is suspected that the passenger side mirror was also affected, possibly missing altogether.
Investigators suggest that the suspect was en route to the Lake Caroline Subdivision when the hit-and-run took place sometime before 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, May 30. Individuals with any information are encouraged to contact Lt. Bryan Guth at 491-3846 or Crime Stoppers at 439-2222.
