Libby Spangler Obituary, Death; 35-year-old woman killed in York County crash has been ID by Coroner

Libby Spangler Obituary – The woman who died after crashing into a utility pole early Friday not far from her York County home has been identified. Libby Spangler, 35, of Springettsbury Township, crashed at about 3:39 a.m. in the area of Stonewood and Trowbridge roads in the township, according to the York County Coroner’s Office.

It’s unclear what caused Spangler to crash into the pole. The coroner’s office said there were no witnesses. Spangler was found awake at the scene, but she quickly deteriorated when she was taken to WellSpan York Hospital, the coroner’s office said. She was pronounced dead at 4:56 a.m. Friday.

Her death was ruled accidental as a result of multiple blunt-force trauma. The coroner’s office said an autopsy will not be scheduled, but routine toxicology tests will be completed. Springettsbury Township police are investigating the crash.
