Lorraine Decarli,Frank Cirioni Obituary, Death; – Two individuals were discovered deceased within a residence located in the Niantic area of East Lyme on Friday, and authorities are currently investigating their deaths, suspecting it to be a murder-suicide.
Upon receiving a request to check on the well-being of the residents at a residence on Billow Road around 3:30 p.m., officers promptly responded. A concerned neighbor had expressed worries as they hadn’t seen or been able to contact the occupants of the home. Upon entering the residence, law enforcement discovered the lifeless bodies of two individuals. The deceased have been identified as Lorraine Decarli, 77 years old, and Frank Cirioni, 76 years old.
Based on the investigation, it has been determined that Decarli’s cause of death was homicide, as she had suffered from a gunshot wound. Cirioni’s death, on the other hand, has been classified as suicide. The New London State’s Attorney’s Office and the Connecticut State Police Eastern District Major Crime Unit swiftly arrived at the scene to conduct a thorough examination and gather evidence from the residence.
