Mary Hardin Obituary, Woman killed driver in rear-end crash on Highway 41 identified

Mary Hardin Obituary – The identity of the woman who was tragically killed by a suspected DUI driver in Fresno County on Saturday night has been confirmed by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office. She has been identified as 65-year-old Mary Hardin from Helotes, Texas.

According to officials, Hardin was in the Central Valley as part of her duties as a Mormon Missionary. The unfortunate incident occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Saturday at the intersection of northbound Highway 41 and Manning Avenue.

The California Highway Patrol reports that a Nissan and a Camero were stationary at the intersection’s traffic light when a Ford pickup truck, driven by a man, collided with the rear of the Nissan, causing it to collide with the Camry.

Tragically, the woman who was driving the Nissan, now identified as Mary Hardin, lost her life at the scene of the accident. An unidentified male passenger in the Nissan sustained significant injuries and was promptly transported to the hospital for treatment.

Both the driver of the Camero and the driver of the Ford pickup truck were also taken to the hospital, but their injuries were minor. Authorities have arrested the man who was driving the Ford pickup truck on charges of driving under the influence at the time of the crash. The investigation into this devastating incident is currently ongoing.
