Ryyhon Scott, Zy’Quarious Hamilton Death – Columbus police have identified an infant and a child struck by a vehicle and killed Saturday evening while crossing a street in South Linden. Ryyhon Scott, 5, and Zy’Quarious Hamilton, 4 months old, died in the accident, police said Monday.

The two were struck along with a woman identified as a mother and a third child at about 7:05 p.m. Saturday while crossing Cleveland Avenue at the intersection of East 25th Avenue. Police said they had stopped in the middle of the roadway when a 2011 Hyundai Accent driving north on Cleveland Avenue struck them.

The third child was transported in critical condition to Nationwide Children’s Hospital, police said, while the adult woman was transported in critical condition to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center, where she was later updated to stable condition.

Police have not identified the woman or the other child injured. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene of the accident — which happened about a half-hour after sunset — and was not cited, police said. here are no marked crosswalks at the intersection where the crash occurred. The speed limit along Cleveland Avenue where the accident occurred is 35 mph.
