Sherrie Joann Robertson Obituary, Three-vehicle crash in Craig County identified Woman as a victim
Sherrie Joann Robertson Obituary – A fatal accident occurred in Craig County, resulting in the death of a woman and multiple injuries. Virginia State Police were alerted about a three-vehicle collision near Route 692 at approximately 5 p.m. The incident involved a 2015 Kia Sorrento traveling north on Route 311, which rear-ended a 2015 Buick Lacrosse that was legally making a left turn on the roadway.
Both vehicles veered off the left side of the road and collided with an unoccupied 2020 Chevrolet Silverado. Sadly, the driver of the Kia, identified as Sherrie Joann Robertson, 55, from New Castle, was pronounced dead at the scene. It was reported that she was not wearing her seatbelt. The driver of the Buick, a 28-year-old woman, along with a 39-year-old man, sustained injuries.
Additionally, two young boys, aged 3 and 2, who were properly secured in their car seats, were also injured. All occupants of the Buick were taken to a Roanoke Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash.
