Stephen Wood,Deborah Wood Obituary, Husband, wife killed in County house fire
Stephen Wood,Deborah Wood Obituary – Officials have confirmed that two individuals lost their lives in the fire. The victims were identified as Stephen Wood, Sr., aged 74, and Deborah Wood, aged 70. The Fort Washington Fire Company and Upper Dublin Police Department were the first responders to the scene.
Firefighters from Fort Washington Fire Company, along with mutual aid fire companies, entered the burning home and discovered Stephen Wood, Sr., who unfortunately did not survive. Deborah was later found deceased inside the residence. Their son, Stephen Wood, Jr., managed to escape the fire and was hospitalized for burn and smoke inhalation injuries.
The cause and origin of the fire are currently being investigated by the Upper Dublin Township Fire Marshal in collaboration with the PA State Police Fire Marshal’s Office. Preliminary findings suggest that the fire originated in a first-floor back room.
