Taysha Clifford Obituary – Authorities have confirmed the identities of two children who tragically lost their lives in a house fire in Augusta. The Coroner’s Office has identified the victims as Taysha Clifford, aged 10, and Abrey Williams, aged 7. The incident occurred at their residence on Moore Road in the early hours of Thursday morning. Sadly, both children were pronounced dead at the scene at 2:10 a.m.
Autopsies have been scheduled to determine the exact cause of their deaths. Fire officials in Augusta received a distress call at 1:04 a.m. reporting the fire on Moore Road. Upon arrival, firefighters quickly extinguished the flames, which were visible through the front door and windows. During their search of the premises, Clifford and Williams were discovered in a bedroom.
Fortunately, the mother and her 13-year-old daughter managed to escape safely and were taken to Doctors Hospital for medical attention. The investigation into the cause of the fire is currently underway.
