Trenton D. Jackson Obituary – The 18-year-old who was shot and killed in Jacksonville on Thursday has been identified by the Morgan County Coroner, Marcy Patterson, according to WLDS, our media partner.
Trenton D. Jackson, a resident of Springfield, was pronounced dead at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital at 9:25 p.m., as confirmed by Patterson. Officers were called to the 300 block of West College Ave at 8:13 p.m. in response to a report of gunshots. Upon arrival, they discovered Jackson with gunshot wounds.
Although the police have identified a person of interest and believe that the individuals involved were acquainted, no arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is still ongoing, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Jacksonville Police Department.
