Tykeisha Lewis Obituary, Woman killed in shooting at northeast Austin Waffle House ID
Tykeisha Lewis Obituary, – The woman who was fatally shot at a Waffle House in northeast Austin early Saturday morning has been identified by the police. Tykeisha Lewis, a 25-year-old, was shot in the parking lot of the Waffle House located at 12304 Dessau Road at approximately 6 a.m. on June 8. She was immediately taken to a nearby hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
According to the Austin Police Department, the shooting took place following an altercation between the group Lewis was with and another group of males in the parking lot. The suspects opened fire, injuring Lewis and another female. The second victim was also transported to the hospital and is currently in stable condition.
Following the incident, the male suspects fled the scene. The police are urging anyone with information regarding the incident to contact APD’s homicide tip line at 512-477-3588 or Crime Stoppers at 512-472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for any information that leads to the arrest of the suspects.
