Yoandris Bistel Rodriguez Obituary, Man found death in Fort Bend County in April, killed by stalker identified

Yoandris Bistel Rodriguez Obituary – A man currently in custody in Fort Bend County has been apprehended for the murder of a man he was accused of stalking, as per the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies from FBSCO were sent to the 25500 block of Fulshear Fast Road on April 26.

Upon arrival, the victim, identified as 29-year-old Yoandris Bistel Rodriguez, was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds next to a car in a ditch. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Rodriguez was noted to be a resident of the Houston area. One witness mentioned hearing at least three gunshots but was unsure of the source. Investigators revealed that Rodriguez was being stalked by a man, identified as 36-year-old Elton Jones Gainza.

It is believed that Gainza followed Rodriguez and subsequently shot him on Gaston Road. Gainza’s arrest warrant was issued through the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office, with the Gulf Coast Violent Offender Task Force aiding in his arrest. Sheriff Eric Fagan expressed, “This was such a senseless act that claimed the life of a member of our community. Such violence shakes the very foundation of our sense of safety and unity.” A bond of $500,000 was set for Gainza by a judge.
