Ashlee Marie Pegram Obituary, Fatal crash near Research Boulevard and Braker Lane in northwest Austin victim identified

Ashlee Marie Pegram Obituary – The woman who lost her life in a collision in northwest Austin earlier this week has been identified by the police. According to the Austin Police Department (APD), the incident occurred at the intersection of West Braker Lane and the Research Boulevard northbound service road at around 11:38 p.m. on Memorial Day, May 27. It involved two vehicles.

The driver of the SUV, Ashlee Marie Pegram, aged 32, was pronounced dead at the scene. The occupants of the SUV and the driver of the other car were transported to a hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening. Initially, APD stated that three children were among those involved in the crash.

APD initially suspected that one of the drivers may have been driving on the wrong side of the road, leading to the collision. However, no arrests have been made yet. The incident is currently under investigation and is the 32nd fatal crash in Austin in 2024, resulting in a total of 33 deaths this year. By this time last year, there had been 40 fatal crashes resulting in 40 deaths.
