Barbara Baldavin Obituary, Star Trek and Medical Center actress dies aged 85 after heart failure

Barbara Baldavin Obituary – Barbara Baldavin, known for her roles in the original Star Trek and Medical Center, passed away at the age of 85. Her son, Marc D’Agosta, confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that she died from congestive heart failure at her residence in Manhattan Beach on March 31.

Hailing from Quincy, Massachusetts, Baldavin started her acting career while studying at El Camino College in Torrance, California, and later at the Lee Strasberg Institute. Apart from her notable appearances in Star Trek and Medical Center, she also appeared in various television series such as Rawhide, The Fugitive, Columbo, and many more. Baldavin was not only an actress but also an instructor at Dawn Wells’ Film Actor’s Boot Camp. She had a special bond with the late Gilligan’s Island star, sharing the same birthdate of October 18, 1938.

She is survived by her son, Joseph, and her grandchildren, Casandra and Justine. Her former husband, Joseph D’Agosta, was the casting director for Star Trek and other Desilu series.
